The Africa Desk has been established to serve as NextEra Policy's dedicated platform for advancing India's strategic, economic and institutional engagement with African nations. Recognising Africa's growing geopolitical significance, demographic advantage, expanding markets, and increasing influence in global affairs, the Desk seeks to strengthen policy dialogue and foster long-term partnerships that contribute to shared prosperity and sustainable development.

The Desk will undertake policy research, monitor geopolitical and economic developments, analyse regulatory and investment frameworks, and produce strategic intelligence that supports informed decision making across governments, industry, academia, and civil society. It will facilitate bilateral and multilateral dialogue, develop institutional partnerships with governments, diplomatic missions, think tanks, universities, industry associations, and international organisations, while promoting collaborative initiatives that strengthen India–Africa cooperation.

Beyond research, the Africa Desk will serve as a platform for high-level policy dialogues, leadership forums, strategic roundtables, business delegations, academic exchanges, and knowledge partnerships that encourage deeper engagement across priority sectors including trade, investment, infrastructure, technology, healthcare, agriculture, energy, education, manufacturing, digital transformation, climate resilience, and sustainable development.

Through research driven engagement, thought leadership, and strategic collaboration, the Africa Desk aspires to become a trusted platform for advancing India's partnership with Africa while contributing to a more connected, resilient, and forward-looking policy ecosystem.
